Lecture on independent experimental treatment and development of oncolytic virotherapy

On March 25, 2025, at the invitation of the Center for the Study of the Relationship between Science and Religion of the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Beata Halassy gave a lecture entitled "Does personal faith play a role in our scientific endeavors?", where she presented a case of successful self-experimental treatment of breast cancer recurrence using viruses. In part of the lecture, she also presented the project Development of oncolytic virotherapy for cancer treatment in animals. The lecture was held at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, Croatian Institute for Brain Research.

At the Annual Meeting of the Croatian Immunological Society, held in Njivice on September 22nd and 23rd, the first results of the establishment of an ex vivo/in vitro model for testing the efficacy were presented.
