HRZZ project "Ex vivo/in vitro model for evaluating the efficacy of oncolytic virotherapy (MOVE)"

We are looking for a motivated research assistant (PhD student) who is eager to start a scientific career in a stimulating research environment. If you are interested in working in modern laboratories, conducting research at the interface of biotechnology and biomedicine, and developing your career through a PhD programme, we encourage you to apply. Where and how?

  • Place of work: Center for Research and Knowledge Transfer in Biotechnology

  • Employment: for a fixed term of 6 years, full-time
    (probationary period: 6 months)

  • Number of executors: 1 (m/f)


Who are we looking for?

Candidates who have:

  • finished university graduate study (CROQF level 7.1.sv.) in the field of:

    • biology, chemistry, molecular or experimental biology, biochemistry

    • medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy or medical biochemistry

    • biotechnology, molecular biotechnology or bioprocess engineering

  • grade point average higher than 3.5 in undergraduate and graduate or integrated studies


It is not a requirement but it is definitely a plus if:

  • you have basic experience working with cell cultures and/or molecular- biology and biochemical techniques

  • you have received awards or recognition for excellence during your studies

  • you have participated in research, published papers or presented them at conferences

  • Strong command in spoken and written English.

At the Annual Meeting of the Croatian Immunological Society, held in Njivice on September 22nd and 23rd, the first results of the establishment of an ex vivo/in vitro model for testing the efficacy were presented.
